Dempsey's Fund
The Dempsey Burdick Memorial Foundation and various cemeteries are
partnering in order to help families who have lost a child.
Each year, a few families are selected to receive a complimentary headstone as a
gift for their angel baby from the Dempsey Burdick Memorial Foundation.
The families that are chosen to receive the headstone will be selected based
on the criteria of financial need and personal loss. In order to apply for
consideration for the program, please mail or e-mail us a letter telling us
about your child, along with your contact information, the contact
information for the cemetery where your child is buried, and the reasons why
you are applying.

Each family that is chosen will be contacted privately and given the
opportunity to select a headstone for their child. The family will be able to
choose from limited styles and is able to customize all of the wording
on the complimentary stone. Additionally, maintenance and
placement of the stone will be provided free of charge (please note, region
and location of cemetery can affect some options, however, we will take care
of all of the arrangements).

Burdick's daughter Dempsey
passed away on May 3rd, 2003 from complications resulting from heart surgery.
She was just 31 days old. Her death and the subsequent grieving process was
the inspiration for the creation of this headstone fund.
As Kevin would say, "Please accept this small gift from our baby, to
yours."
